Adopt-An-Animal
may be the program for you! Adopting an animal helps to
provide the daily care and feeding your adopted animal needs to stay
healthy. Individuals or groups can adopt an animal and visit
it each time they visit the zoo.
Why Adopt an Animal?
The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is a world-class facility, providing
the best possible care for our animals. By adopting an animal at the
Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, you help us provide quality animal care
while helping us to meet rising costs. Your contribution will provide
food and care for your adopted animal for one year, freeing funds for
other zoo projects.
The Joys of Zoo Parenthood
By adopting an animal at the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, you can enjoy
animal parenthood without all the work. Our professional staff will
provide the special diet, environment, and veterinary care that your
animal requires. You’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that you are
helping to support your selected animal at the Fort Wayne Children’s
Zoo.
What Do I Get When I Adopt?
You'll receive a personalized certificate of adoption, a fact
sheet about your animal, a 5” x 7” photograph of your animal (if
available), and recognition on kidszoo.org.
Who Can Be a Parent?
Any individual, organization, business, or club can adopt an
animal. School classes are especially encouraged to become adoptive
parents. Each child who participates will receive an Adopt-An-Animal
wallet card.
