Help Us Name
the Baby Giraffe!
Our baby giraffe is already growing taller but he still doesn’t have
a name! Our zoo keepers have made a list of their 5 favorite names, but
they need your help to choose the best name for this special baby.

So far, the baby, born August 5, is healthy and strong. He has
already started running around his stall in the African Journey barn
while his mom Zuri patiently looks on. Zoo keepers are starting to
introduce him to the other members of the giraffe herd. As soon as
they’re sure that all six giraffes get along, they’ll let Zuri and the
baby into the grassy 2-acre exhibit.
“We can’t wait to let him out in the exhibit, but we want to make
sure that all the giraffes are careful around the baby before we let him
out,” says African Journey Area Manager Amber Franze. “Hopefully, that
will be in another week or two.”
