One Week and Counting!
Relax in the renovated African village as you discover vultures, monkeys and a leopard, then tap out a beat on the African drums, enjoy refreshments, or make your own African-style bead necklace. Next, head toward the 14-foot-tall platform where you can feed the giraffes (weather and giraffe appetites permitting)! Descend from the giraffe platform and get your first sweeping view of the savannah, where zebra, wildebeest, and ostrich roam the grassland. At the Zebra Research Station, zoom in on the animals with a remote camera system and study animal behavior. Plan your first visit to the African Journey today, then get to
know the African Journey animals in future issues of Z-Mail and
Z-Mail EXTRA, the exclusive e-newsletter for Zoo Members only.
