From monkeys to snakes, 2009 has been a prolific year for babies at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. To make it easier for you to keep up with zoo baby news, we've created a Zoo Babies page on our website. Click here to see all of the baby animals born at the zoo this year.

You can watch your favorite episodes of Zoo to You, filmed entirely at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, on Comcast 58 & Verizon 28.

If you can't get enough of the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, you can see us on TV almost every day! Episodes of our Zoo to You TV show, taped in 2006 and 2007, air on Comcast 58 and Verizon 28 at these times:

Mondays at 4:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Tuesdays at 8:30 a.m.
Thursdays at 8:00 a.m.
Saturdays at 7:30 a.m.
Sundays at 11:00 a.m.

Get Involved!

Volunteer with Hedgehog

Volunteers introduce children to friendly zoo animals.

If you love animals and want to share your passion with others, consider becoming a zoo volunteer. Now is the perfect time to get involved! Training classes for new volunteers age 18 and older begin on Thursday, September 24 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. and continue for four meetings.

Z-Tips for Green Living

By making smart choices, you can make the world greener and help wild animals. Here are some ideas to get you started:

Beginner:	Turn off the water when brushing your teeth or doing dishes
Amateur:	Check your tire pressure to improve gas mileage
Pro:	Purchase a fuel efficient vehicle

Hours and Prices

The zoo is open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until October 11, 2009.
The African Journey exhibit is NOW OPEN!

Admission is $12.00 for adults, $8.00 for children age 2-14 and $10.00 for seniors age 60 and over. Babies age one and under and Zoo Society Members are admitted free.
